Spring Flings at Taste of Home Magazine April-May 2023 issue
Who’s ready to party? Come spring, I’m always eager to shimmy off the shivers of winter and embrace entertaining season with all I’ve got. Sign me up for all the birthday parties, Mother’s Day brunches, Memorial Day cookouts and just-because bashes that start popping up this season. I’ll be there with a dish to pass and then some.
If someone sent me an invite to the pretty tea party in “Sachet Away” (page 71), I’d RSVP “yes” in a heartbeat. Tender scones and delicate sandwiches along with the mini Bundt cakes from our cover make the menu for this sweet celebration, but the darling decor truly makes it blossom. And after seeing the stunning spread in “Kalo Pascha!” (page 42), I think it may be time to enjoy
a Greek feast on Easter. In fact, can I just take Margaret Guillory’s Mini Baklava to every get-together I have going on? These sweet mini treats are pure bliss in a bite.
Let’s hear it for picnic parties too. I’d gladly pack any of the sandwiches from “Superior Stacks” (page 32) in my basket.
And I’m sure slices of Bakeable’s Classic Pineapple Upside-Down Cake (page 29) would fly from the table in a flutter. Whether your schedule is packed with parties or you simply want to celebrate a sunny day, turn to the recipes in this issue to bring delight and deliciousness to a whole new season.
